Visa Waiver Program Overview:

The Visa Waiver Program was created in 1986 to make it easier for foreigners to visit the United States without obtaining a visa. Citizens from Visa Waiver countries are able to visit the United States for up 90 days without obtain a visitor visa in advance (B-1 and B-2). There are however some requirements; the visitor must have a machine-readable passport and never had any problems with the USCIS before.
